niihaaaaaooooooo i'm greg le geek! my bosom buddies call me glg! and you're welcome to join the jtgeek and watch our new presentation video... ...this week we show you the cubot x6! the real fake curved smartphone ^^ because it's good to see the pictures' products ...it's better to watch them in a video! so unbridle yourself and discover all our high-tech test live from shenzhen in china. the presentation and all the explanations, right after our pangeek theme video! today oh yes today! today we will test the cubot x6 and the cubot x6 it's been a while since we didn't talk about it...

but our member kept going on saying " it's a slayer with his curved look ! wooooww etc" and that's true that it's a good sell but also in china it's out of stock and it was hard to get some stock for you so we're happy to show it to you in our test to see what he has inside! so why this phone was making sensation on the internets? simply because when they were showing picture online from the sides...a bit of photoshop to take off the white under and everyone was talkign about curved screen. but in fact when you look at it it's not more curved than any other phone unless they beleved a tiny bit the sides to give an optical illusion and that's pretty well done! and it makes this phone a very good loooking one!

the cover is a bit tricky to take off ... sooo it's a double sim phone with 2slots, one for a normal sim and one for a micro sim. there's a micro sd slot too and the battery is ........ 2200mah ! the imei in 35 are written there.. we remind you that the imei in 35 or 86 are not a problem anymore since all the operators from all around the world sell phones with imei 35 and 86. it's true that when you close the phone it really feels like it's a unibody phone but not at all!

you can have access to the battery to change it and for the sim cards and sd cards. the design is very elegant and sophisticated and that is one of the strong points for this phone on the right the power button on the left side the volume switches new music from cubot** on top the micro usb and the jack3.5 outlets the loud speaker on top also the 3 ghost touches at the bottom which are not back lit and under the microphone. let's double check the imei presence!

2 imei in 35! check! a big overlay form cubot meaning we won't have access to the ingeneer mode! we'll have to go threw mobile uncle and we can check the band modes for the sim1 it's gsm quad band and 3g wcdma 800, 850, 2000 and 2100 mhz so no 3g 900mhz for france! and that's always a bit lame for us! because until now it was flawless! beause it's really different from teh korean style and way more different than all the usual chineses designs ok now the introduction is over..let's invite our first extraodinary character... antutu! our master rabbit who will give us the score of the beast!

28076...that's a pretty cool score! reading antutu : cubot x6 android version : 4.2.2 cpu mt6592 octacore at 8 x 1.6ghz gpu : mali 450 resolution is hd rear cam : 13 mp front cam : 6 mp

and all the sensors let's run our cpu identifiers for a complementary test!! you can see the 8 cores at work score 16 611 for those who have fun keeping track of those :) now let's welcome our second extraodinary character! maitre pouce (master inches) aka the man with the lock! the screen is given as 5 inches! check! the length 143,5 mm ! check! the width 73mm! check!

and the thickness... our calliper tells us 8.7 mm and it was given as 8.6mm so that's really matching! now let's check the ram and rom memory in the running application menu we can see we have 300mb in use and 600gb free so we're on a 1gb ram device. yes i know that's a bit lame we would have like to see this device with 2gb ram but not this time! internal storage there's 1,48gb left to install all your apps and on the phone storage you'll have 12.7gb to put all your datas, and medias, mp3 , video etc... so we're on a phone that is 1gb ram and 16 gb rom and the external sd card memory can be up to 32 gb! as zdevice is not working since i have to synch it with my google account. you won't have the accelerometer test

but ofcourse it had teh accelerometer and the compass let's check straight the otg feature! the light is on so the phone is otg! taht's a gerat news as it's missing on some phone more adn mroe nowadays in this phone with android 4.2.2 you'll have all the the google apps suite with the playstore and gmail etc let's check the sound now and listen to some music now britney spears like usual!! it's good but not loud...it's not bad! we are at teh medium tones level...not somuch in the high medium but abit of low medium giving a small bass effect. it's missing deep bass ofcourse but it's normal as it's a phone loudspeaker

overall the sound is very cool and better than usual now about the video let's check with our korean chicks! the screen is hd and 5" wide... the blacks are deep on top and bottom that's good the white veal when you tilt the phone is not to see anymore with those new generation displays. let's check in fullscreen mode... i have to tick the option in the settings! voila!

the screen has a nice luminosity, maybe abit too much as you can see the colors are abit saturated in the whites the colors are not so flashy and as we have a big back lit effect it gives this feeling. but it's still a very nice screen with hd resolution. a good quality of image even if it'sa tiny bit pale. alright now let's take some pictures let's zoom and see that it's reallly not too shabby. you can see the detail of the metal balls on top of pangeek's head well don't zoom toomuch offcourse ^^ you'll have to zoom hard to see the defaults it's very nice and corect quality so you can go up to 13mp for the resolution of the censor

you can do full hd videos, and the front cam up to 5mp , they said 6 but infact it says here 5mp as usualyou'll see two photo one from inside and one from outside followed by two video one from inside and the other from outside so you can have your own mind on the video and photo quality. now the gps as we can't have access to zdevice we will use the good old gps test.. you can seeyou can see the gauge showing up straight and in 5 10 sec it was fixed and that's what we await from a smartphone's gps nowadays meaning we do'nt have to wait 1 minute or 2 minute 5 mins it's starting to be way too long

here you turn it on and itworks and that's very classy! if we comprare the sizes with the samssung s4 with a 5 inche display as well. about the size you can see it's a bit longer about the design...well here the cubot take the s4 down! here we leave what we usually know about smartphones design witha very neat and classy phone the rounded sides are very pretty and it makes teh s4 looking really old and that's quiet interesting to have such a thorough design. let's go on the internet! on jtgeek.net this way we can start the pros and cons for this beast!

pros: we liked that it's dual sim under android 4.2 the mt6592 with 8 x 1.6ghz the 5" hd widescreen tthat's very nice! the battery of 2200mah the design! with this phoen you'll get a very different style! and finally the price! 170€ = 235$ = 140⣠it's really cheap! and this will eclipse the cons of the phone... the 1gb ram : yes i know alot will moan but personally 1gb is fair enough for me
