hello everyone michael here with thedaily note 2 youtube channel and welcome to another episode of galaxy note 2 tipsand tricks episode 34 today i want to show you how to print with thesamsung printer and then i'm going to try printing with a non-samsung printer so what you need first is you will need a usb otg cable this is a 5pin usb otg cable i just picked up i think there

all around 5 to 10 dollarsthere are really cheap and then next thing you'll need is a samsung printer this is a very old samsung printerprobably at least 4-5 years old the model scx4623f but i don't think that's important just make sure you have one it seems like they're all well supported one thing

one tip for you guys is dell has been selling printers under the dell name but they're actuallysamsung printers so if you happen to have a dell printerjust try to sell it might cost you five bucks but try out because they're actuallyidentical printers and then maybe you will already have onethat works even though you don't have a samsung printers just plug in here then you should see a usb connectorconnected printer connected that seems simply enough

now you're going to need to fire up an app that has print capabilities now i have 4 icons set up for this demonstration so as you know email and internet are stock apps but gmail and chrome are google apps and if you go to gmail

you wanna print out this promotional coupon or whatever you'll notice that there are no printer functions there but if you go to the email app you'll see that there are printer fucntions so let's just print this one just for fun it says you can only print on samsung printer continue

sure i have a samsung printer so let's see how it works okay then it gave me a preview there's a configure button i found my printer number of copies, letter orientation, paper typeall sounds good paper size a4 actually i have a a4 print paper in thereso let me change that good thing i went in there

orientation that's obviously so let's push print it says starting to print and let's see what happens this printer is seriously low in toner but hopefully it will make it okay it got the page print no problem so as you could see it is verystraightforward as easy as you can

imagine what would be you just need that 5-pin usb otg connector.. there are generic ones so don't need to buy one from samsung.. just buy one anywhere let's go to a non-samsung printer and let's see what happens so this time we are in front of canon pixma mp287 and let's see what happens when we try to print so once again i'm going to use a usb otg cable and just letting you know

there are other printer optionsavailable like wireless, network and bluetooth but i believe this is probably themost convenient probably wireless is moreconvenient but anyway it says printer connectedso actually sees the printer let's see what happens when we try to print at an ebay page.. i really like the shoesso let's try printing it it's preparing to print but you can onlyprint on samsung printer continue

let's try printer not supported and that's not a big surprise so what we need is a 3rd party appthat can make this work let's go to the google paly store search for printer share

printer share mobile print and as you can see i have itdownloaded and installed already so after you do that just click on open in here it says printer not selected so hit on the menu button then do select printer now we have a usb connectornearby usb and it says allow application printshare toaccess usb device? sure they actually found my printer canon mp280

let's selecte it and it says user action required to print nearby printers you need toinstall update driver pack download it that was rather quick and painless nowthat we have our printer set let's print web page click on the start button to bring up ourfavorites in our internet browsers and i pulled up the page on developers let's click on print i just wanna print the first pageand as you could see it my printer has selected there

and then let's select options therei have paper size i have a a4 paperi believe so i'm in korea letter size is not useda4 is used so i selected let's click on prints let's click on ok and it says we need tobuy a premium version i think if you had itconnected wirelessly

if you have a network printer and it's recognized on the networkor if you have a bluetooth printer and you could pair these devices by bluetooth you wouldn't have to buy thislicense but for usb so i'm going to buy the app quickly and then hopefully it's about fifteen dollars if i could do this video within thenext fifteen minutes i should be able to

i should be able to get a refund let's go back let's go to print it's sending page 1 as you can see the page's printing pretty much perfectly it looks pretty high resolution as a high resolution as i need it and the printing options seem verysophisticated as well
